Connecticut Ave Gem. A perfect Italian neighborhood restaurant. Good service, good energy, and good food. This is a refreshing oasis from chain Italian spots you expect in the suburbs, and the flavor of the month celebrity restaurateur spots increasingly filling up Union Market and 14th Street

This review is about 6 years overdue. I’ve been coming to Eddie Cano’s since their opening and it has remained my favorite restaurant in D.C. They may be the only restaurant in the states that does not overcook their pasta!! Highlights: the fried zucchini; the spaghetti alle vongole; the pasta al nero di seppia; the wine list; and the chance to talk to Massimo and Caroline, who will stop by your table and chat. I love this little restaurant, I love its food and its relaxed, happy atmosphere. Come with a party of 10 or come alone and eat at the bar, Massimo will take care of you.

If you want to try authentic Italian food go here . Everything I try was delicious fry zucchini, lobster pasta, octopus, tiramisu, .... Best buffalo mozzarella cheese I ever have so far and it’s home made . All foods are home made style , don’t have 5 star Michelin presentation but amazing taste and you feel real people make them . Resturant is cozy and you feel that you are in Italy . Owner is super nice .

I can’t say enough about what a great dinner my party of 5 and I had here last week! Starting from the unmatched warmth of the reception through the excellent appetizers (among others, the artichokes are *not* to be missed) , the superb pasta course of Boglonese and orrechiete, and then amazing main courses including my chicken. The wine, too!! Service is always there and never obtrusive... By far the best meal in DC I had. And a quick amaro at the Italian bar two doors down launched things perfectly. Bravo!!!

After discovering a year ago, we have become loyal regulars at I'm Eddie Cano. This is a fantastic neighborhood restaurant serving up incredible Italian/Roman food. The carbonara is the most authentic this side of the Atlantic. It is a wonderful family run restaurant, with season menus, and excellent wine and cocktails. The service is good, and always a pleasure to chat with Massimo. I have to stop myself coming weekly, but we have to drop by at least once a month

Eddie Cano and the team does it again. Great dinner, wonderful service. Dover Sole special was exquisite, tuna tartare and ricotta stuffed squash blossoms were both delicious. Gracie a tutti

Delicious and authentic Italian food. I had Burrata and Special crab pasta of the day, both were phenomenal! Oh, if you like Rye, try Little Italy for a cocktail;).
